It's been five weeks, and according to your twitter a while ago your medicine was expected to arrive last week; Can we get another chapter? Or an update?
Hey Alex,
I just recently discovered this story and it's pretty cool so far but what got me thinking was the comment about the "Dragon Wars" in chapter five and the religion Nadraika. This is going to sound really nerdy unfortunately but I've been working on a DnD campaign off and on for a while and the basis is on a war with dragons set in the modern era. That just piqued my interests and I was hoping that maybe you had some more background for that religion and the Dragon Wars set down somewhere that I could maybe use as part of my back story or for more ideas. This isn't for profit or anything this is all just a pet project I've been working on. If you could get back to me on that I would appreciate it. Again, awesome story.
You're in luck with respect to Nedraika: The next few chapters will be dealing with it fairly extensively. I wouldn't want to give anything away just yet, but you should get a good bit of background info soon. If you have any specific questions I'd be happy to answer them, or if you have questions after the chapter, please feel free to ask.
With regards to the Dragonblood Wars, I would like to clarify that the wars were between the Dragonblood races, not the Dragons themselves. In a lot of ways it's very similar to the crusades. Again, I wouldn't want to give too much away for fear of spoilers, but I'd be happy to answer your questions... within reason, of course
Okay, I'll out myself as a nerd (as though it weren't clear by now) and admit that I enjoy DnD from time to time, and I love the idea of my story inspiring part of your campaign. I'll help out however I can, and I'd love to hear how it's coming as you get further along. You can either just respond here or email me at alex@childrenofthefirst.com
All this is making me reconsider opening up a CotF wiki... It would probably be useful for my own reference, if nothing else.
