New chapter? Hell yeah, new chapter!
Sorry it's been a while since the last one; stupid "life" got in the way of writing.
So I'm pretty happy with how this one turned out. It ended up taking forever and—surprise, surprise—I didn't get as far as I thought I would (in terms of the storyline/ plot). You would think I would have learned how much I can fit into a single chapter, but no, I haven't.

On an unrelated note, I recently built a new website for the 1718 Reading Series, and I think it looks pretty good. You can check it out at SeventeenEighteen.com.

So here's a little bonus thing since I probably won't have time to write the next chapter until early next week. I drew a rough map  for my own reference after the first couple chapters, and I've been thinking of doing a more polished version for a while now. I may do another in the future, or color this one, who knows? Thanks for hanging around, folks.

On a different note, I wanted to mention that there are now CotF banners and buttons (for links/what-have-you) available on the Support the Sitepage. I've also (just now) decided to give bonus credit for every new link using the images, so... yeah.

Thanks for reading, guys. Couldn't do it without you. Well, I guess I could still write it... but that wouldn't be much fun, would it? Seriously though, you guys rock.

Okay, here's the new chapter. Sorry it's a little late. Just a reminder about the schedule: it's now one chapter a week, though that may be more like week and a half, depending on how school's going at the time. Rest assured though, there will be regular updates. CotF and I aren't going anywhere.
The conversation going on in the comments of the last couple posts has been great, and I hope it'll keep going. As always, thanks for reading and you guys rock. Diamond hard.

Sorry for the short chapter; I've been running on empty and out of time, but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
I may have to rethink the schedule, but we'll see how this week goes and whether I can keep it up.

So I was working on this chapter, and it just wasn't turning out anything that really wowed me. I didn't want to change the whole thing since it's one of Shawn's first classes and will be rather important down the line; plus my carpel tunnel is flaring up, so a rewrite tonight was out of the question. (Sure, I revised like I always do, but there's no way I was starting over and wrecking my wrist).

So instead, I did something a little different: I used a couple pictures inserted into the chapter text (okay, technically it was a few since a couple is two, but only my brother would care about that. So get off my back, Michael). This isn't something I plan to do all the time, or even often, but I think this chapter benefits from it so I gave it a shot.

On a related note, you know that I always love to get comments, but I'd like to make a special request for your opinions on this chapter. Many much comments for me please! I altered my writing process a bit this time and the content is quite different, so some feedback would be really helpful and much appreciated.

HIATUS ENDED

So here's chapter ten! It's a long one.
(Hiatus still in effect: I got a job and might have the housing settled, but I still have some scheduling to iron out and some site design work I'd like to get done before I officially end the hiatus and set a schedule)

I have an idea to do another myth installment, but suggestions are always welcome!
